HoloCom Inc.' intensive six week training course insures a complete understanding of the technology. Training begins with the setting up of the customer's facility. All training takes place on-location, which means the trainees learn on the same equipment they will be operating, not in an already functioning laboratory. Completed training leaves the customer with a fully functioning facility in which all operations conform to international standards involving patents, workplace safety, and environmental impact. All necessary equipment including the Newport Isolation Table, the Liconix Embosser Series HeCd Laser, posts, mounts, and optics is provided. Two levels of training are available, and include: Basic Techniques - Includes training in the production of common diffraction patterns, 2D/3D, and 3D image originations. Included with training are complete laboratory setup and training in troubleshooting common problems. Training in basic techniques provides the customer with an operational facility capable of producing quality rainbow holograms for embossing.
The customer need only provide a suitable building with adequate electricity, running water, a source of compressed nitrogen, clean room facilities, and a deionizing water filtration system. If the reliability of electrical supply is in question, an uninterrupted power supply may be required for the laser.
The Computerized LCD System is based on the system designed by Chromagem Inc. Besides the ability to create 3D animated holograms, the LCD system is capable of rendering computer graphics as a 3D hologram. This system is the current state of the art in holographic stereogram origination technology.

In other words, the metal master is grown upon the glass master and then separated from it. The resultant metal master is then used to grow further metal masters or "shims", which are used to emboss into plastic or hot-stamping foil.
Due to the excellent reproduction of even the most minute detail, electroforming is perfect for use in the holographic field and, indeed, provides a crucial step in the embossing process.
